On-Line Registration Closes September 14 The on-line conference registration closes September 14. Any registrations after this date will take place at the registration desk at the conference. Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is Full The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is now full. The Wilderness Lodge Resort has been identified as the overflow hotel. To make reservations you will need to call Guest Services at 407-939-4686. Rooms at the Wilderness Lodge Resort are available at the conference rate of $179/night. Hotel Cut-Off Day Has Passed The hotel cut-off date of August 24 has passed. To make reservations you will need to call Guest Services at 407-939-4686. For further information, click on the "Hotel" tab. Preliminary Conference Program Available The preliminary conference program is now available. To get information on the types of sessions being offered, click the "Program" tab. Renovations at the Grand Floridian During the fall, The Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be undergoing some renovations. Some of the amenities such as the Courtyard Pool and Spa will be closed, but there are alternate options! Click here for further information. SAIR Nominations for Service Awards! There is still time to nominate outstanding SAIR members for their service to SAIR and their contributions made to field of institutional research. Please consider nominating a deserving colleague for one or more of these awards: James Montgomery Outstanding Service Award; Distinguished Member Award; and Special Recognition Unsung Hero Award. To make a nomination, please contact Julianna Proctor. Nominations end August 31. SAIR Fact Book and IR Website Competitions Judging of the electronic Fact Book and IR website competitions are underway; but you can still showcase your printed Fact Book and Mini Fact at the 2012 SAIR Conference by dropping off three (3) copies of each document at the conference registration desk by noon, Monday, September 24. SAIR Elections are Open! SAIR elections are now open. The offices to be filled are: Vice president/program chair for 2013 conference in Memphis, Secretary, Two Member-at-Large positions and five Nominations Committee positions. If you have not received an e-mail with a link to the ballot (and you are a current member), please contact Michelle Hall. Elections end on August 17. Conference Registration is Open! Jones Graduate Student Travel Grant Applications Extended! The deadline for the Larry G. JOnes Graduate Student Travel Grant has been extended to July 31. General Conference Schedule The general conference schedule has been posted in the "General Conference Information" section to the left. Use this schedule to help in your conference planning. Early Registration Form Available Do you need to pre-register for the SAIR conference so that you can use end of year funds? Click on the "Registration" link above and complete the Early Registration Form. Please note: Only use this form if you are using end of year funds! The on-line registration system will be available in July. SAIR SIG at AIR Forum Going to the AIR Forum next week? Be sure to attend the SAIR SIG on Sunday night (June 3) at 6:00 in Bayside C. We'll talk about SAIR business (including the 2012 Conference) and then go in groups to dinner. "Like" SAIR on Facebook !! We will once again offer a SAIR Facebook page as a way to communicate conference news and other SAIR notices. We hope you will use this fan page to post any questions or feedback concerning the annual conference. To "like" SAIR on Facebook, type "SAIR" on the search line. Call for Proposals The ‘Call for Proposals” is now open. An important function of SAIR is the promotion of professional development of individuals engaging in institutional research. Presenting a paper, work share session, or workshop will be beneficial to many of your SAIR colleagues. Use the link at the left and submit your proposals by June 12th. |
